We recently traveled to the beautiful rolling hills of southern Virginia, to visit 2X NHRA Funny Car Champion – and Rocky Sponsor – Matt Hagan for a commercial TV shoot on his farm. The spot will showcase Rocky boots and gear, of course – and should air nationwide, as well as on our social media channels, starting in July.
The spot will be the one of the most visible components of our advertising campaign for 2015…. #TheresABootforThat. Highlighting the wide variety and functionality of boots offered by Rocky, we feature a boot for hunting, one for work, and one for just relaxing at the end of the day. For Matt’s hunting scenes, he’s wearing the new for Fall 2015 Broadhead boot, in Realtree camo. It’s been a popular boot at trade shows and with the sales force, as it’s 33% lighter than the typical hunting boot. He’s wearing a shirt and pants from our Rocky Athletic Mobility line; which are designed for function as well as comfort and ease of use when hunting. In the work scenes, Matt is wearing a Rocky best-seller, the Ironclad. It features the Rocky Waterproof system, a steel toe, and rugged non-slip outsole ready for any work condition, including mud, muck, hay, etc.!
Highlighting the dual-use nature of many Rocky boots, Matt is wearing a pair of Original Rides, our western-inspired line of boots that are great for work – and play! Matt showcases both, in the barn area feeding two small calves, and around the fire, relaxing in an evening shot with the family.
